The update of this 1984 home goes beyond the sleek new materials to include updates to the overall performance of the home. In the kitchen and laundry, outdated appliances were replaced with top-of-the-line energy efficient models. Insulation was upgraded under the floors. The ductwork was cleaned and wrapped to reduce leaking and help improve the performance of the heating and cooling system.
Natural products, including natural wood cabinets and granite, were used for the beauty and their long-lasting, non-toxic qualities. Materials throughout the home were reused whenever possible to save resources, including the wood flooring, a sink and faucet, a toilet, and fan. Waste materials were sorted and recycled.
