The City of Portland Home Energy Score policy requires new homes listed prior to completing construction to receive a Home Energy Score and Report. This optional on-demand Pre-Construction training is intended for assessors who will be scoring homes listed prior to completing construction.
In this training you will log into an online training platform, learn about the Pre-Construction workflow, review a set of floor plans, and take a short quiz based on that set of floor plans. This training typically takes 1-2 hours.
Prerequisites
Must have ALREADY completed the following steps:
Step 1: Obtain and verify qualifying US DOE credentials
Step 2: Complete Home Energy Score Simulation training
Step 3: Obtain and verify home energy assessor CCB certificate
Step 4: Complete the Oregon home energy assessor participation agreement
Step 5: Attend mandatory orientation
