Join us to learn about new and evolving ADU rules in California and how that will affect real estate and building industry professionals in every part of the state.

The rules around ADUs are constantly evolving, so participants will get critical information on three subjects:

Past Changes: You will get up to date with the existing rule changes that have already occurred.
Upcoming Changes: You will learn about upcoming changes that we expect to take place in the next few years.
How to Think About Trends: You will be equipped to independently evaluate future changes, understand how they can affect regional real estate markets, and how to best take advantage of those changes while they are being implemented.

For example, participants will learn existing laws that allow for multiple ADUs on single family properties, the sale of ADUs separate from the main home, and who can't already build 2 story ADUs. The we'll discuss how those rules are about to evolve over the next year. And lastly we'll look at ways that those rules might change even more in the future.

Industry professionals will understand how ADUs are already being permitted for separate sale in markets like San Jose, which markets are about to follow San Jose's lead, and what the state will look like when it embraces these reforms as thoroughly as Texas or Washington state have.

Industry professionals who want to better serve their clients will develop a keen understanding of how to provide general information to their clients and when to direct them to local city staff, when to send them to state agencies, and when to consult with professionals in your network.
