Discuss the new Urban Residential draft code language and the impacts in Seattle's neighborhoods.
Overview
Length: 2 Hours with Q&A
Join us for this special edition 2-hour update webinar providing an overview of Seattle's draft code for the new Urban Residential Zone code being discussed in the process of implementing HB 1337.
This class builds on the foundational knowledge from All About ADUs and explores recent updates to Seattle's draft zoning code, specifically changes affecting ADUs in newly designated Urban Residential (UR) zones (formerly NR zones). Through this session, participants will gain a clear understanding of how the evolving zoning code impacts residential development opportunities.
Instructor Sheri Newbold will provide an overview of what is permitted for ADUs under the proposed regulations, examine additional housing typologies allowed outright in UR zones, and discuss typologies permitted only under specific conditions, such as lot size or proximity to transit.
