Who We're Looking for

You're capable of managing a multi-year, multi-million dollar residential energy workforce training program. You have demonstrated project management skills developed from direct project experience and, ideally, through prior formal project management training. You are extremely well-organized, possess the ability to communicate effectively with a wide array of project partners, and are deeply motivated to address climate change will fostering diversity in the building industry. You are well-versed in managing partnerships and capable of expanding program participation and reach. You're motivated to oversee workforce training programs that support residential energy code adoption and that advance the leading edge of building science knowledge and sustainable business practices. You're excited by the potential opportunity to influence broader workforce training strategies as we expand our impact in the clean energy and building industries.
 


Role Description

  • Manage the implementation of a multi-year, multi-million dollar residential clean energy workforce training program that will develop a rural home energy rater workforce across Oregon and the Northwest.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external public and private sector partners to achieve successful training outcomes, ensuring compliance with government and utility funding requirements, reporting, and contractual obligations.

  • Lead the implementation of additional residential clean energy workforce training projects that increase technical knowledge of energy efficient and sustainable practices within the residential building and contracting industries.

  • Manage program budgets and timelines to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved on-time and within prescribed budgets with high participant satisfaction.

  • Assist with developing new educational strategies that create clean energy career pathways and increase equitable opportunities for historically underserved populations in the residential building and contracting industries.

  • Oversee the issuance of professional educational credentials.

  • Participate in program-specific marketing activities to drive program participation, in collaboration with Workforce team members and Earth Advantage's marketing team.

  • Manage a minimum of one direct report within the Workforce team.
     


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a manager leading programs or projects.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing direct reports and / or subcontractors.

  • Demonstrated commitment to work that aligns with Earth Advantage's mission.

  • Exceptional skills with organizational capacity, follow-through, and ability to keep stakeholders informed at all times.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience as a networker and convener.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, writing, and editing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

  • Ability to plan for future initiatives and participate in strategic planning and development.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with an ability to quickly learn new online platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a manger leading multi-year programs or projects.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in the construction industry, clean energy, and / or energy efficiency sectors.

  • Experience managing utility and / or government-funded programs or contracts, including reporting and compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated background in workforce development and / or with the delivery of professional training.

  • Experience developing and delivering training programs for building industry professionals.

  • Demonstrated success working with or in rural communities and in engaging Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), women, transgender or gender diverse individuals, low-income populations, and / or others who have been historically underrepresented or marginalized in the building industry.

  • Project Managment Professional (PMP) or other Project Managment Certification and knowledge of project managment methodologies.

  • Spanish language proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Monday.com, Learning Managment Systems (LMSs), and / or Adobe InDesign.

Compensation

$75,000 - $100,000 annual compensation.

Note: This range represents the compensation opportunity within this specific Earth Advantage job class. Compensation for new hires generally falls in the low to mid-point of the pay range.
