Role Description

The Multifamily Certification Project Manager represents Earth Advantage on a range of multifamily building projects pursuing Earth Advantage Multifamily, LEED for Homes, and ENERGY STAR Certifications. The Multifamily Certification Project Manager role includes the following activities:

  • Client Coordination & Consultation:

    • Coordinate and consult with clients and other project team members responsible for designing and constructing energy-efficient, resource-efficient, and grid-efficient residential buildings.

    • Convey deep expertise in building science principles, sustainable building technologies and approaches, and green building program requirements to client project teams.

    • Review construction drawings, specifications, cut sheets, and approved submittals for project certification compliance.

    • Guide clients and other project team members toward successful program compliance

  • Project Managment

    • Prepare and manage documents needed for certification compliance

    • Ensure that all relevant debt, equity, incentive, and tax program requirements are met as they relate to certification services scoped by client project teams.

    • Update the internal database regularly with project updates.

    • Review and document communications and deliverables in writing for completeness, clarity, and quality.

    • Provide trades training on high-performance construction techniques.

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure site verification and completion of all required checklists necessary for project certifications.

  • Process Improvement

    • Assist in the development and administration of processes and procedures to increase program efficiencies.
       


Required Qualifications

  • Project Managment: Minimum four (4) years project management experience in the building industry.

  • Multifamily Certification: Minimum two (2) years participation on building development projects that sought and achieved green building certifications.

  • Hold a current and valid LEED Green Rater credential.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Deep commitment to Earth Advantage's mission.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four-year degree or higher education in architecture, engineering, construction management, sustainable development, business, or equivalent combination of experience in related fields.

  • Experience within the affordable housing industry.

Compensation

$62,000 - $78,000 annual compensation

Note: This range represents the compensation opportunity within this specific Earth Advantage job class. Compensation for new hires generally falls in the low to mid point of the pay range.
