Undertake reviews of single-family home improvement scopes of work.
Provide corrections or recommendations for updates to scopes of work prior to the initiation of home upgrades by program trade allies.
Conduct site visits to assess whether installation best practices have been undertaken.
Achieve prompt turnaround time on completed quality assurance reports.
Undertake diagnostic tests and review equipment documentation to confirm anticipated energy efficiency and indoor air quality outcomes have been achieved.
Provide ongoing mentoring of participating contractors on the installation of a range of energy efficiency measures including; air sealing, insulation, windows, heating and cooling equipment, hot water heating equipment etc.
Coordinate and provide technical training to support high-quality home energy upgrades.

Proficient in conducting building diagnostic testing and interpreting results. Note: Earth Advantage employees are provided with the necessary diagnostic equipment. Independent contractors must provide their own diagnostic equipment.
Experience conducting or reviewing energy assessments or energy audits.
Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for creative problem-solving.
Comfortable in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
Excellent communication skills.
Self-directed.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and vehicle.
Frequently carry and maneuver bulky field equipment.
We require the successful candidate be willing and able to complete the necessary BPI certifications once employed with Earth Advantage, at Earth Advantage's expense.
Experience delivering services as a home performance, HVAC, or insulation contractor.
RESNET HERS RFI, BPI Building Analyst Technician, or equivalent professional certification (current or lapsed).
RESNET HERS Rater.
BPI Building Analyst Professional certification (current or lapsed).
BPI AC/Heat Pump Professional certification (current or lapsed).
Authorized Home Energy Score Assessor (current or lapsed).
LEED for Homes Green Rater.
More than eight years of experience in the green building, energy efficiency, or weatherization industry.
More than two years of experience delivering professional training.
